Very often I will photograph flowers in a way to showcase their softer side to create a sense of calm and peacefulness for my viewers. I created this image of a blue Himalayan poppy with its stamen in focus surrounded by the dreamy softness of the blue petals to give you a feeling of calm and serenity.
