When I saw this peony in my garden with its delicate, frilly layers of petals it reminded me of a graceful ballerina about to dance. If you look closely, you will notice hints of yellow in the center petals and beautiful pink, fluffy petals that give this flower its full, rounded shape. In order to create my vision for this flower, I photographed the peony separately and created a painterly and artistic background using digital painting techniques. Pink peonies symbolize love, romance, happiness, gratitude, good fortune and femininity making them a perfect gift for someone special in your life.
